“Whosoever Believeth on Him Shall Not Be Ashamed”                   Late Mr. N. Daniel

Romans 10:1-11

Vs.11 "For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."

Moses and prophets brought the truth of God transmitted through their mind. Man, by his mental exercise, can get a kind of righteousness. But it will be a dead righteousness. The gospel came through the perfect transmitter Jesus Christ. This gospel is first meant for the heart of man and not the mind. If the gospel enters just the mind of man, a kind of self-complacence comes into the man. Even if we obey just the Mosaic law, we do get a kind of blessing. But that will not be conversion. Vs.9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Your heart is made for the gospel and the heart is satisfied only when the gospel reaches it. You must believe the gospel that our sin caused the death of the God-man Jesus Christ. If a mother's action were to bring death to her child, she would weep all her life. Your sin brought death to Jesus Christ. Has this entered your heart? Many think the gospel means, 'Do this and do that.' No, that is the Mosaic law. This law can never produce love. A Christian is truly free only when he can love the unlovely. Jesus died for you in order to raise you to the love level. God had to come down and become like you and had to fulfil the law. When Jesus fulfilled the law; there was an end of the law and the gospel of grace began. Jesus puts a spring of love and life into the head which comes out through the mouth. Intellectual men may speak their mind through the mouth but to no effect. If you realize you are such a bad sinner as to cause the death of Jesus, a new life begins. When this is believed with the heart, spontaneous righteousness springs within you. When Jesus rose from the dead, a power was released which can lift you. When you  believe with the heart, the resurrection of Jesus comes into you and you are raised higher and higher till your nature becomes saintly.  You are lifted and lifted higher. You believe and that belief of the heart becomes righteousness.
This is the righteousness of faith. Philippians 3:9 “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the

righteousness which is of God by Faith."

When you repent you weep for your sin. The spirit of God in you is weeping.  When you speak, the spontaneous gospel that comes out of your heart through your words, will make others also weep. In Erode area in a place where missionaries were driven away, it was possible to arrange meetings only at midnight because of my tight programme. When the gospel was given, the floor was so wet with tears, I slipped on the floor as I walked. I Cor 14:25 "And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest and so falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is in you of a truth." When a man is truly converted and is preaching, the secrets of the head are made manifest. Men who come and listen to you know immediately that God is in you. The heart is very deep and when you unearth it in repentance, the heart becomes the place where the Holy Spirit dwells. When your sins are completely unearthed, your body will become new and the ruined parts of the body will become new. John 16:13 "Howbeit when he, the spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak and he will show you things to come." Joel 2:26&27. "And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you, and my people shall never be ashamed. And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed."
