A True Christian Stands in the Gap

"Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD." (Ezekiel 13:5)

We are called to stand in the gap. A Christian stands in the gap in the time of trouble. The hosts of Heaven are with him. He is never alone. So he stands in the gap and fights for God. His warfare is not with carnal weapons. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). A Christian who is truly converted and established, pulls down every imagination and brings it to the foot of the Cross. Anything of faith is eternal. Every thought of the Spirit of God is eternal. Our weapons are not carnal. We will not use the weapon of vengeance. We will not use harmful weapons at all.

A sinner sends out vibrations that destroy the good things of nature. The trees and clouds of rain are affected. As man becomes righteous and his thoughts become pure, the nature around will be blessed. In a family, if there is the fear of God, there comes in happiness. They may not be very rich but they will be contented. God's blessing will be different from what you imagine. You will stand in the breach. You will fight with the armor of God. All the while you will have rest in your heart. You will have the faith that God will do everything for you. God will give us a restful heart. Under His wings you will have perfect shade and protection. You will enjoy the peace that passeth all understanding.
