July 22nd, 1963                           God’s Promises Will Be Fulfilled                              Late Mr. N. Daniel

Our joy and victory is our faith in the character or nature of God even in the worst disappointments.

604 B.C. Habakkuk belonged to the tribe of Levi. Nahum weeps over Nineveh because once Jonah went and preached. The Assyrians repented. But after 150 years people sinned but there was no one to preach. You cannot get a revivalist always.

Judah and Assyria were sinning. God was warning them. But they did not heed to it.

When God blesses us, gives us a promise we are happy. To hold that promise and appropriate it is very difficult. To retain a blessing is not easy. Abraham retained the blessing of God. I tremble to read the promises. Isaiah 60:15 "Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations." When you get a promise from God, Satan is watching. So God makes a provision for your safety. Is. 54:17. "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. "

When His children are calling upon Him, God appears to be silent sometimes. But He is at work. He is doing something which we are not able to see. God will not leave you. It is not His nature to forsake His own people. Isaiah 49:15 "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee." God's law never fails. Why should you despair? Wait on Him. Your inward nature will be purified. Do your best to try and obey Him. Then His promises will be fulfilled.
