Isaiah 62:2

"And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name." We have with God a new name for us. God gave Abraham and Jacob new names. Isaac was not given a new name because his name was given by God before his birth. Genesis 17:19, "And God said, ‘Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.’" God will not  call us by a new name till we get a new nature. We must find out what our new name is. The new name is very meaningful. As the word of God goes into us, a new nature comes into us. Jesus wants us to have a new nature and to be always led of his Spirit. The new name denotes the new nature and the new power he gives us. To be in the flesh is to be caught unawares by the devil. If you are in the Spirit, you will always be humble and meek. God sets watchmen upon the wall who do not rest day or night. God is constantly sending angels to watch over us. The angels are trying to help us. Jacob suddenly found a host of angels coming to meet him. We are thinking we are trying to be watchful but God is more watchful about us. When we are not conscious of these watching angels and go against God, outside His way, God is greatly grieved. Ephesians 4:30, "And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." Our worship must bring us into that deep consciousness that we belong to a great God, who has created us for a great purpose. When we become one with that great Spirit we will build ruined places. We have to claim the promises of God in the Bible. Moses claimed the promises God gave to Abraham. All people cannot retain the blessings of God. God wishes to bless all. God cannot fulfill certain promises to us because we have not grown in faith.

It required colossal faith to face Pharaoh. Who was Moses to face Pharaoh? He had only a slave-nation to back him, and Pharaoh could have killed all of them together. But God was behind Moses when he rose in faith to claim the promises given to Abraham. You must spend time with the word of God, to understand the heights to which these men rose. You cannot handle God’s weapons with a mediocre faith. But God says, He will give you a new name. Give God no rest until He establishes you in righteousness. Ask Him to fulfill the purpose with which He brought you into this world. Those that walk in the Spirit, walk by faith. I know a man who wanted to do a great work for God. He wanted to improve mission finances. So he tried to economise and reduce mission-expenses. He sent away the missionaries and appointed local people in their stead. They could be maintained at a much lower salary. But these men were not honest. The work in that field was ruined. Men in the flesh with good intentions do must damage. But God will build you and not allow your talents to be wasted.

If we are not watchful and get lazy and careless, and go against the Spirit, our work will come to nothing. Would to God we are called a holy people, the redeemed of the Lord! He is our Redeemer. you must claim it.
